In 1994, the world — Garland, Texas — got a sense of what wings from heaven taste like. Three decades later, Oshkosh, Wisconsin, was able to get a bite of it as well.
After many, many, false “opening” days, Wing-Stop on Jackson Street officially opened its doors during the month of October. Because of the high anticipation and the reactions that have come with the opening, I figured it would be a good idea to ask students about their opinion on the matter.
How would you describe your experience?
“It was very nice, the employees were nice and helpful and service was pretty fast compared to Appleton. They have more staff [at the Oshkosh location].”

“[The food] was extremely crispy, like I wanted, and the corn was so good; they don’t play when you ask for extra seasoning. Sometimes, because I only order tenders, they give me like half a piece but a couple times they give me extra. So it depends on who’s cooking I guess.”

“Wait times are [usually] so extra, and I felt like it was way too overhyped just for some chicken. We have so many chicken places here in Oshkosh, and I’m starting to get tired of it.”
