On Monday, November 3rd, the Oshkosh North SkillsUSA team kicked off their season with an impressive showing at the Beloit district competition, hosted at Beloit High School. This marked the first tournament of the SkillsUSA season, and the team made their presence known with standout performances across multiple events.
Oshkosh North students brought home 12 medals in total – 3 gold, 4 silver, and 5 bronze – demonstrating both their technical skills and dedication to their specific craft.
“SkillsUSA had a fantastic Monday at the Beloit district competition! … So proud of all my hardworking students,” said club advisor Mr. Garvey, celebrating the team’s strong start to the season.
The competition gave students the chance to showcase their skills in areas like leadership, craftsmanship, healthcare, and teamwork while connecting with other schools from across the district. For many members, this event set the minimum for what promises to be a successful year of growth and achievement!
With gold already shining early in the season, the Oshkosh North SkillsUSA team is gearing up for even greater success in these future competitions.
Go Spartans!
