Smoke Free Home is a punk rock trio from Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The trio features Jesse Tubeszewski on vocals, Kevin Sonnleitner on bass, and Alex Lautenschlagor on drums. The band formed in 2021 with their first EP titled “Smoke Free Home”. Ever since, they have been jumping around the stage, and the Oshkosh music scene, bringing good high-energy punk rock music that will make you want to jump along.
As of now, they have seven singles and four EPs that can be streamed on Spotify and Bandcamp. Their most recent 2025 release is a single titled “Reburns” with two songs, “Fasts Hands” and “Broken Toe”. The two songs are dynamic and have a fast tempo, making them both great songs to swing along to. Both of the songs on the new single are re-recorded from their first release. SFH decided to record both songs once more as they have evolved so much since the first recording. They also did this for their “day-one fans.” The first song, “Fast Hands” is a love letter to winters in Wisconsin. “I started writing it during a bitter cold cig break in December of 2019. There’s something about the attitudes here that strikes me as tenacious..steadfast. The way we shiver and cuss, but somehow wouldn’t have it any other way. Maybe it’s just stubbornness. Either way, I identify with it, and I know our listeners do too.” -SFH. Their second song on the new release “Broken Toe” is about some of the struggles of being an artist. According to the band, some of the artists that have inspired them are various artists like the Descendants, Death From Above 1979, Amyl and the Sniffers, Misfits, Bon Iver, and Sage Francis. While the band doesn’t have many upcoming shows, the future still seems bright for SFH. “Well, we’re recording an album right now, and we’re looking at bigger venues to play and farther places to go. Hoping to see some new places in 2026.” – Smoke Free Home.
