On February 27th, 2026, Oshkosh North High School hosted its first ever Black History Month Gallery Walk.
Switching from the club’s traditional Black History Month assembly, this year the union decided to host an after school gallery walk. Taking inspiration from the Black Student Union at Oshkosh West High School, the students at North were successful in sharing significant figures and moments of history they’ve learned and felt resonated with the club.
The club isn’t sure what’s in store for next year, whether it be an assembly or a gallery walk.
In the meantime, the school will continue to celebrate Black History all year round.
