On Saturday, February 15, Oshkosh North Forensics hosted its 10th annual tournament, marking a decade of excellence in speech and performance. This year’s event was one of the largest in the state, utilizing nearly every classroom and office space for competitions. Schools from across Wisconsin attended, reinforcing north’s tournament’s reputation as one of the most elite in the state.
The tournament featured a wide range of categories, from poetry interpretation to original oratory, showcasing the incredible talent of students. Judges, coaches, parents, volunteers, and community students all played vital roles in ensuring the tournament ran smoothly. Their dedication and hard work were instrumental in organizing a successful event.
Leading the Spartans were Junior Jack Anderson taking 3rd place in Special Occasion, Junior Eli Vang advancing to the consolation final in Poetry, and Freshman Penya Richards also advancing to the consolation final in Moments in History.
Oshkosh North has been hosting tournaments successfully for years, and this milestone marks another achievement for the school. We are proud of our legacy and look forward to continuing this tradition for years to come. North has three regular season tournaments until the conclusion of the season in March, followed by the WFCA State Tournament on April 5 and the WISDAA State Festival on April 12, both in Madison.
