Fabulous Fall Festivities for Teens

Fabulous Fall Festivities for Teens

As the weather gets colder and the leaves turn red, orange, yellow, and brown, the opportunities for fall functions grow. This season, plan to venture out into the cooler weather and fully enjoy the season by participating the in following activities.

Pumpkin Patch

Traditional pumpkin picking allows for the full autumn experience. Explore the Sunny Acres Farm or the infamous Little Farmer for a grand array of options. This year, to avoid the muck and mess of carving pumpkins, opt for painting them. The faces won’t droop down or sag, and you can redo it as many times as you wish.

Picking apples

Another timeless activity that provides new, crispier flavors every year. During fall, apples are at their prime pick and give the best chance at a perfectly crisp apple. With countless toppings and types, apple picking is the optimal treat experience when paired with caramel.

Corn Maze

Do not underestimate the power of a corn maze. Most change the maze each year, so it doesn’t even matter if you’ve gone before. Wandering around looking for the perfect corn maze can be difficult but Petals and Plows Greenhouse in Ripon takes the cake for the prettiest one in the area.

Haunted Houses

A scarier activity for the adrenaline junkies are haunted houses. There are a plethora of different options in Wisconsin such as Burial Chambers and Wisconsin Fear Fest. For anyone willing to journey, Fright Fest at Six Flags offers the thrill of roller coasters and terrifying tales.

Attend a Fall Festival

During October there are many fall events happening around Oshkosh such as the annual Fall Fest on October 15 from 12-5 pm, which provides photo opportunities as well as many fall trinkets to buy. This Saturday there is also a fall craft fair at the Oshkosh Convention Center from 10am-2pm.

Hiking

Fall is a great time to get outside and get active. For instance, High Cliff hosts fall events like a spooky candle lit walk on October 23 from 4-7. Additionally, Hobbs Woods in Appleton offers beautiful scenery and a chance to get your steps in.

These festive fall activities will ensure maximum enjoyment during the spookiest season of the year. From events in High Cliff to Oshkosh, there is always something festive going on and making sure you’re having the best experience.
