North boys, girls battled the West Wildcats at Menominee Arena

On Friday, January 20, the Oshkosh North boys and girls varsity basketball teams played the Oshkosh West Wildcats at the Menominee Arena.

Though Emma Niemczyk, a junior on the Oshkosh North Spartans girls varsity team, obtained the most points throughout the game leading with a total of 12 points, it wasn’t enough to prevent the Oshkosh West Wildcats from taking home the win ending with a final score of 63-36.

As for the boys, Stevie Clark, Xzavion Mitchell, and Ari Giannopoulos led the Oshkosh North boys basketball team to victory with point scores of 16, 15, and 11, respectively. While managing to stay close in score with the Wildcats for the entirety of the game, the Spartans ended with a final score of 53-50, taking home the win for Oshkosh North.
