Early voting has started in Wisconsin. Here’s everything you need to know about voting, including where to go, what to bring, and what to expect.
Often more convenient than election day voting, early voting helps election workers by reducing polling lines on Nov. 5.
Before voting, it’s important to know where you’re going to cast your ballot, and when they’re open. Polling places and their hours can be found here.
Expect long lines, and arrive early. A record number of people are voting this year, so expect long lines. You can avoid some of the wait by arriving early.
To vote, bring a valid voter ID, like your driver’s license. Here’s a list of other identification you can bring if you don’t currently have a driver’s license.
If you don’t know already, make sure you know who’s on your ballot. You can find this information at myvote.wi.gov.
The election is predicted to be extremely close this year, so remember: Your vote matters.
