Oshkosh North’s Black Student Union (BSU) will be back in session soon with wonderful things in store. Join if you want your voice to be heard.
There are many things that you can be a part of in BSU; it’s their community. There is a step team where you can show off your greatest moves. The spoken word where if you have a speech or something on your chest you can say it freely. Everyone has a voice in BSU so join in.
BSU is not only for black students; it’s for any minority with a voice who couldn’t
be heard. BSU has an assembly every year on Black History Month. They invite amazing speakers to share speeches and a bit about what they stand for. So join, be heard, and be proud.
BSU also goes on trips. They do it every year, and people enjoy it. They go, eat, meet up with other BSU members, and have a good time doing some activities. BSU all in all is about getting things done and making sure the right action is being taken.
BSU has had many helpers and people speak to them about what they can
do to help. It is a chance to connect to people who have made a difference where it counts, people who have stood up for what they believed in, and I think to be given that opportunity is amazing to be able to see in real-time. Who you can be or could become if you want to make a difference is up to you. BSU has given people a sense that we have a voice and that when we work together and take charge, it means something to be in a group. It feels like a community.
