Spartans defeat Kimberly in shootout

The Oshkosh North varsity basketball boys handed the previously undefeated Kimberly Papermakers their first loss, making North’s FVA record 3-1 and Kimberly’s 2-1.

Throughout the game, North had a significant lead. However, Kimberly kept themselves in it, cutting the lead as close as 4 points in the second half. In the end, the Spartans held onto their lead and secured the win, closing the game at 93-82.

Reed Secker (12) had 20 points contributing to North’s victory, 12 of which came from beyond the arc. Xzavion Mitchell (9) scored 24 points while also making large energizing plays during the final minutes of the game.

The Spartans’ next game will take place at home against Fou Du Lac this Friday as another conference matchup.
